As a citizen of the greatest nation in this world I dedicate this page
to all the men and women who have risked and given their lives to maintain
the freedom in this country and around the world. So many have given
so much for each and everyone of us that it would be a crime to take what
we have for granted without being eternally grateful and letting our children
know what has been done for them. Nothing can ever be perfect. Humans
created the laws of this nation and none of us are infallible.

I live in Florida, which is probably among
the most ethnically diversified State of them all. I can see how it would
be difficult for many to forget that their ancestors were foreigners here
at one time as well. It is very easy to become possessive of such a wonderful
nation, and perceiving it as our own and no one else's. We are all here
because at some point one of our ancestors decided they wanted for themselves
and their children the best there was to offer. For some that happened
a few generations back, for others hundreds of generations. But we all
have something in common; our children were born in a free land where we
(and them once they reach maturity) have a say so in our futures via our
votes.
