September 11, 2001 will go down
in history as one of the darkest day in US
History. A day when the whole world witnessed the
most heinous of crimes against innocent people of all
races, nationalities and religious believes. A day or
mourning around the world for the lives lost.
This page
is dedicated to the families of the victims, to the
brave rescue workers and volunteers who risked their lives
to save those injured and to all of us who witnessed
such heinous attacks on our innocent from an enemy that
didn’t even have the courage to identify itself.
Our leaders face difficult decisions
in the days ahead,
we pray
that God guides their thoughts, words and orders with
wisdom.
Webster
defines terrorism as follows:
Terrorism – the systematic
use of terror as a means of coercion.
Terror – violence
committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government
into granting their demands.
Because of that definition I refuse
to label what occurred as terrorism. For starters,
our enemy didn’t have the courage to identify
itself and most important they didn’t intimidate
Americans into anything. Unknowingly, they have brought
us together as one and made us stronger. They have brought
in us all alive the basic instinct as parents to protect
our children. There is no creature created by God
that would stop at anything to defend their young.
The attackers did not only unite Americans of all races and religions
but they have brought most of the world together
to fight for a common cause and protect the freedom that so
many of us had at times taken for granted.
For the children
of America we lost we morn.
For the
children of America that live we will fight!
Not only the politicians you
see on TV have come together in this
common cause to support each other. Common people
like you and me around the world have come
together to console and encourage one another.
Through this medium of communication we have received
messages from friends around the world sadden
by the events of September 11, 2001. They, as well
as us, mourn the lives lost and as one we stand to defend
the right our ancestors have fought for….
Our freedom!
Below
is a prayer received via email, which I found very
appropriate and wish to share with you. I am not among
the most religious people out there; however, I find
myself turning to God in prayer for strength for what is
to come. To provide me with the wisdom to answer some of
my children’s questions for which there are no logical
answers. To calm their fears and to let them know that this
great nation of ours and our allied friends will fight to ensure
they suffer the least possible and live the best lives this world
has to offer.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are
moved by the alarming news and crisis that our country
is facing.
This,
the greatest nation, founded in the believe that "In
God We Trust" &
the "Land
of the Free". Please have mercy on those suffering,
hurting and
in fear,
and give wisdom & strength to those who are assisting.
May the
forces
of evil be broken by your power and may we humble ourselves
before
thee,
our strength and refuge.
Give wisdom
to our President & our leaders and bring your
comforting peace
through
the power of your Holy Spirit. Help us here to reach
to those that
have been
affected by this tragedy. In the name of our Lord
and Savior, Christ Jesus.
AMEN

There
are many ways you and I can
help . Below
are but a few:
Donate Blood –
Contact you local Red Cross to find a location near you.
Donate Money – the
Red Cross, Salvation Army and other reputable
organizations that would use the donations to
fund rescue missions and for many other basic needs.
Donate Time – help
local charities organize and collect items
and food needed for those affected.
Say a Prayer – in
your heart and to the God you worship pray that those still alive are
reached in time and that their suffering is minimized.
Attitude – this is
a time when your neighbor is part of your family,
treat them as such. Together you, me, them will
be defending the safety of our children in whichever way
we are skilled.
Live Life – Life
is a precious gift. Go about your daily lives as you would normally.
Do not allow those heinous criminal acts you witnessed
destroy your will to live and provide for those
you love. Change only the passion with which you live
that life… love stronger and savor every single
day.
Memories – Embrace
what occurred on September 11, 2001. Do not
ever let go of the closeness you feel with the
world around you. Do not ever let go of the emotional
strength of these days that have followed and used them
to empower you.
How you go forward in
helping those affected and those around you
is a very personal thing and you shouldn’t
feel discourage for not being able
to help in every way imaginable. Concentrate in those
you can do and know you are doing your
best. I only recommend that your donations are made to reputable
organizations you know of. A few of those organizations:
A Humanitarian Request:
Please
remember that there is good and bad in every religion,
every race and every nationality. Please, do not take
the law into your own hands. The United States of America
is made up of people from all parts of the world who seek a
better life for their children and themselves. Our ancestors
(of all nationalities) have fought in many wars and have given
their lives for all of us to live in peace and safety. Do not taint
their memory by hurting those around you who may have done no wrong
just because the color of their skin, the God they worship or the
country they originated from. There is not a person in the United
States who came to this country seeking their freedom and wellbeing
of their children that hasn’t been affected by the crimes
committed against our people. If you suspect someone who poses
a threat to your children or our country report it to the authorities.
They will take you very seriously… but please, don’t
hurt innocent people on our American soil that are working and fighting
for the same rights as you and I.
The Lyrics for the song you are
listening to:
God Bless the USA
If
tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd worked for
all my life,
And I had to start
again
with just my children
and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky
stars
to be livin' here
today.
Cause the flag
still stands for freedom
And they can't
take that away.
And I'm proud
to be an American
Where at least
I know I'm free
And I won't forget
the men who died
Who gave that
right to me
And I gladly stand
up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't
no doubt I love this land
God bless the
USA
From the lakes
of Minnesota
To the hills of
Tennessee
Across the plains
of Texas
From sea to shining
sea
From Detroit down
to Houston
And New York to
LA
Well there's pride
in every American heart
And its time we
stand and say
That I'm proud
to be an American
Where at least
I know I'm free
And I won't forget
the men who died
Who gave that
right to me
And I gladly stand
up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't
no doubt I love this land
God bless the
USA
And I'm proud
to be an American
Where at least
I know I'm free
And I won't forget
the men who died
Who gave that
right to me
And I gladly stand
up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain't
no doubt I love this land
God bless the
USA
