Texas Chapter of Law Dogs MC

02' President and Co- Founder
Dave "axman" Busch

A word from the President

Welcome to the Law Dogs Motorcycle Club.  The club was started because two best friends were working as Law Enforcement officers and loved to ride motorcycles.  Prior to starting the club both looked into joining other LE clubs but were turned away because both did not ride Harley Davidson’s.  Both loved riding and knew numerous other friends and co-workers with different bikes some Harley’s some not.  The two wanted to be able to help and support the cause of most other LE MC Clubs but did not want to leave their buddies out.  A third friend (Big Country) then became involved and started the web page, the rest is history.

As the President and Harley owner I respect and understand the bi-laws of other clubs regarding Harley only membership.  I just wanted to keep our family and friends together and allow more diverse members into the club.  I have been riding for over twenty years and remember in the early 70’s of a popular MC club not far from where I grew up in So. California having bikes and choppers that were not only HD’s but were Honda’s and Triumphs today much has changed I understand that but for me one thing has not, “Its not what you ride, but if you ride” and for myself and my friends we all love riding.  I started my Law enforcement career in 1980 and rode Motor’s in Los Angeles for almost 5 years prior to leaving the department and re-locating to Texas in 1994.  I have just completed three years overseas in Kosovo as a police officer/trainer and look forward to getting back to good ole American style policing.

Our goals remain much like other LE clubs to help support and raise money for officers that are injured or killed in the line of duty.  We also will do the same for all emergency personnel because it should not just stop with members of the law enforcement community but all those who serve to make us feel safer and are there for us when we call for help.  2002 will be our maiden voyage and I am hoping that we can be successful and grow as many other LE clubs have.  We need all the help we can get to help those who give the ultimate sacrifice.  I welcome your comments both bad and good and look forward to seeing you at some of your bike runs or at some of the big events in 2002.  Be safe and enjoy the ride!!!!!
